Years of experience: I have been helping travelers plan vacation destinations for nearly 30 years.

Years serving travelers at Interlachen Travel: I founded Interlachen Travel in 1989 and have been serving our clients for 18 years.

Certificates and specialist areas: I am a CTC, a Tourist Board Certified Spain Specialist as well as an ICTA Destination Specialist for Europe, Pacific Rim, Caribbean, and Hawaii.

Places traveled: I am enthusiastic about traveling and can’t imagine doing anything else! I have been to all continents except for Antarctica (and that’s in the plans). I have also traveled extensively throughout Mexico, Italy, and Asia. And the cruises I’ve taken to date are 27.

Favorite destinations and why: I have three favorite destinations — Indonesia, India and Morocco.

I love exotic destinations. I enjoyed Indonesia because of its mystical and stunning diversity and the food! Morocco is exotic and colorful. It is great fun to visit its markets and to take in its culture.

India is incredibly rich in culture and the diversity of its people and powerful history makes this an amazing place to visit. High quality, unique items can be found on the street markets and the U.S. dollar has great buying power.

Travel advice I give most often: I find that I give three bits of advice to travelers often. They include:

1. Plan your trip through Interlachen Travel!
2. Take along a few zip-loc bags. You’ll find lots of uses for them.
3. Make a copy of the front pages of your passport to take with you.
   Put them in a different place from your actual passport.
