I was fortunate to visit several island resorts earlier this spring. Fiji has a rich history with a diverse culture which is reflected in many of the resorts throughout the islands. There are luxury as well as affordable all-inclusive properties including family resorts that specialize in children and teen programs. Some occupy their own island getaway whiles others are surrounded by activities including shops and markets.
Fiji's natural beauty is boundless. You will see brilliant flora, waterfalls and beaches but you will, also, be greeted by the Fijian's warm friendly smiles. Few places on earth provide water enthusiasts with such an abundance of activities. Known as the "soft water capital", snorkeling and diving are among the best. In addition there is kayaking and white water river rafting on one of many rivers. The islands' volcanic mountains intrigue hikers while bikers enjoy leisurely rides around the lagoons.
